2022 News @ Paradise Point

We are pleased to announce the opening of our 2022 calendar to all of our previous guests!

Three Seasons for Booking During the 2022 Season

For the 2022 season, all bookings will again go through Airbnb.  We are still looking into alternatives but will not be able to offer direct booking for the 2022 season.   Due to the overwhelming popularity of Paradise Point, we have broken the year into three seasons: Peak Season, Mid Season, and Low Season.

  • The Peak Season will run from 16 JUN – 1 AUG and 18 DEC – 02 JAN2023.   A minimum reservation in the Peak Season is six days but seven day reservations will be given the highest priority.  Also, in order to enable as many guests as possible to stay with us, we are encouraging a Sunday PM check-in and check-out the following Sunday AM.
  • The Mid Season will run from 22 MAY – 15 JUN and 14 AUG – 10 SEP and a minimum reservation in the Mid Season is five days.
  • The Low Season includes all other days of the year not listed above, except the months of November and early April, when we are closed for repairs and maintenance.   The minimum reservation in the Low Season is three days

Nightly Fee Increase & Discounts

Cleaning Fees – As a thank you to so many of our guests that have left our home in great shape, we have decided not to increase our cleaning fee this year even though our costs have risen.

Nightly Fees – Our nightly rates have changed for each of the seasons due to demand and the amount of services we provide.

Discount on Pontoon Boat and Fishing Boat Rental

Due to frequent requests, if our guests choose to rent both our pontoon boat and fishing boat, we will offer a $200 discount off the combined weekly rental!

“We provide it, so you don’t have to pack it!”

Our rates change for each of the seasons due to demand and the amount of services we provide. Our tag line is “We provide it, so you don’t have to pack it!”. So, all you really need to bring is your clothing, personal items, food, and beverages.

We have been former guests at campgrounds and other Airbnb’s and we did not appreciate being charged extra for many little things during our visit.  Aside from our pontoon and fishing boat rental, this is why we provide an almost all-inclusive package rate for our guests. We try to include everything inside the unit that you will need for food prep, including the addition of an Instant Pot this year!

We do not charge extra for use of our kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, bicycles, and beach towels. We also provide firewood, laundry access, and paper goods at no additional charge. Finally, we include a modest amount of fishing gear, tackle, and instruction for our guests that are new to fishing.

We’ve Purchased a New Kayak!

In addition to all of our included Paddle Boards, Kayaks, and Canoe, we plan to add an Old Town Children’s Kayak to our fleet this year.

2022 Updates for Boat Owners

We are very sorry but due to the threat of invasive species being introduced into our pristine lake, guests will not be able to bring their own motorized boats starting this year. However, guest’s kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, or inflatable floaties are always welcome!

Thank you for helping us to make Paradise Point a safe and high quality family retreat so that you can make wonderful life-long memories!
